Julie, Brandon, and Walker babe: February 2012

A big recap on our year! So many great things happened! OUR baby of course was born and started our year off wonderfully! I will try not to bore you with everything we did in 2011 but i cant promise anything :).... I am lucky enough to stay at home him Walker everyday all day. I wouldn't have it any other way. I really LOVE being home with him. I love being on the go but I am also a BIG home body too. The days when I feel like I can spend money is when I'm on the go ahahah jk (kinda) :) But we do keep busy and I never feel bored. ( and sometimes i like to be bored) I keep busy with social media (hahaha of course) cleaning, laundry, cooking, baking, paying bills, organizing our life, decorating my house, my tv shows, grocery shopping, running errands, keeping up with the Kardashians and any other reality tv, and just being a mom is busy in itself. Walker was born the end of January....his aunt Kaley (Brandons sister) left for her mission 2 weeks after he was born in February. March came quick and is always a busy crazy month. So many family/friends birthdays, anniversaries (including our own) my birthday, and we had another niece born in March. Kostyn Marie Sistrunk. Brandons brother Cory, his wife kelsey (who I would die without ;) ) and their 2 year old daughter Harlee were blessed with another beautiful baby girl. It is so fun to see her and Walker together since they are so close in age. Only 7 weeks apart. We also had our close friends have a baby girl named Harley and she was born on our anniversary, March 14th. We love her too and Walker loves his girlfriend :)
Then came April.. Walker was blessed in our church by his daddy! On April 10th. It was such a special day and we were so overwhelmed with Love and gratitude towards our friends and family who were there. After his blessing (literally) I flew down to California with Walker, of course, and my parents. We had such a good time seeing friends and family that hadn't met Walker yet. Brandon flew down that weekend. Walkers first Easter fell on Brandon's birthday, we spent the day with family and it couldn't have been more perfect!
In June we went back down to California for my niece Addisons first birthday! And Brandons little sister Jenna graduated from high school. We had a great time being home again and my brother and sister in law announced they were pregnant AGAIN!!! come to find out another niece on the way! Walker is really getting out numbered at this point :)
Our summer was fun and eventful. A lot of days at seven peaks waterpark (if the weather was good, Utah didnt have the best summer) A lot of time spent with family/friends.
Our most favorite holiday, besides Christmas, is Fourth of JULY! WE LOVE!!!! Walker had such a fun time at Stadium of fire, RSL game, and a BBQ/pool party with friends. At the end of July we decided to take a trip to Vegas and meet my parents there. That way we could have a babysitter. WOHOO big party people that we are ;) We had a great time. Went to a show, layed by the pool, shopped, ate, and stayed in a fancy suite!! that we didn't have to pay any extra for. haha. Shopping around in Vegas, Walker was being a little fussy. My mom put her finger in his mouth and felt his first little toofer pop through. Such a fun moment we had in H&M hahah
August comes around and back to Cali we go. Another niece was turning 2 and a good friend from my childhood (that we reconnected on FB) was having her first baby shower, I was so happy I could be there for both!
The Summer always ends with a trip up to Midway, UT for Swiss Days. It has been a tradition in the Sistrunk home forever and me and Brandon love going every year. It's a huge craft fair with yummy food! Sounds kinda lame but it is super fun! Always a fun thing to do on labor day weekend! We will try to keep that a tradition with our little family!
Then came October.....happy/sad month! Our best friends, our family, and practically our neighbors moved to San Francisco. Brandons brother Cory got a job offer IN the city! A job he couldn't pass up. It was a whirlwind of emotions for us and we could only imagine the whirlwind they were going through! Needless to say we continue to stay close and thank goodness for cell phones and facetime. :) We were lucky enough to go out there in October to help them move in, get all settled, and figure out this cute city of Walnut creek with them! We had the best time! We cant wait to go back!
After they moved Brandons parents moved out of their house in Norco, CA and moved into the house where Cory and Kelsey were living in. Its nice to have them close by as well as Brandons grandparents around the corner.
And then November, we had two sets of visitors, we love visitors! My parents came and a week later my oldest brother, his wife, and their two year old daughter Logan came to visit. Their first family vacation!! We had so much fun with them! then came the HOLIDAYS!!!!!! AHHHH they come so fast and their always so fun!! I love nothing more than decorating my house for Christmas! We spent Thanksgiving in California with my family, which is always crazy and SO fun! and Christmas with the Sistrunks! Me and Kelsey were Santas little elves and we had such a blast together! Me and Brandon really wanted to have an ugly sweater party this year. It turned out to be a success and was so much fun! Walkers first thanksgiving and Christmas were fun and busy! We wouldn't have it any other way :)
New years came so fast and we were so excited to have my parents come up. We had a little christmas with them and spent New years eve with them as well! We all had a great time! Well that's our 2011 in a short version (that isn't so short) here are some pics of our year :)
